Thursday & Friday weddings

I had the weekend off with both of last weeks wedding being during the week.  On Thursday we were at the Arbor Terrace and then at Falkner Garden on Friday.

Crazy 6 wedding weekend!

Everyone seemed to want to get married the 1st weekend in August it seemed.  This is the most weddings we have ever done in a weekend.  Before last weekend our top was 5 weddings.  Not only did the 6 weddings we also did 2 small bridal showers.  This is why it was CRAZY around here all last week.  Infact we are still cleaning up everything. 

Here are some pictures that I took over the weekend.  I don’t have cameras to send to every site when they are being set up so we didn’t get pictures of every wedding.  Our on site pictures are all from Ponte because that’s were I was for 3 days straight. 

This the back of my car all loaded up for our 1st wedding of the weekend.

For our 1st wedding at Ponte for the weekend we drapped the arbor in dark purple tulle, then at the top and sides we had all purple and green sprays. These would be moved later to the head table.

This is the 1st of the 3 different centerpieces that Carina had. Using our tall candelabras in brown a beautiful arrangment of bells of Ireland, purple lisanthus, alstromeria, hanging amaranthus, asters and stock.

Carina had a quite a variety of centerpieces here is the manzanita trees with purple gladiolas and crystals hanging from some of the branches.

Carina’s 3rd centerpiece was a square vase filled with limes an arrangement on top with crystals on the table.

Denise was my bride on Saturday here is her bouquet of dahlias, mini calla lilies, green roses and cymbidium orchids.

Day 2 at Ponte a little different than yesterday with a full flower garland of purples, wine and green.

Denise had 3 different centerpieces here is the 1st one. 3 tall cylinder vases of varying heights with river rock in the bottom filled with green dendrobium orchids topped off with a candle.

Another wedding we did was Gretchen’s wedding at Los Willows. Here is her all mini calla lilies with loops of bear grass bouquet.

Also on Saturday we had Alyssa at the Grand Tradition here are her bouquets of oriental lilies and alstroemeria. Bridesmaid’s are alstroemeria and roses.

Kelly’s bouquet of Finess roses has become one of my all time favorite bouquets. It was so beautiful.

Again Ponte’s Arbor with pink roses, pink stock, kermits, lisanthus, alstroemeria and lilies.

Busy 5 wedding weekend!

Set up 2 weddings on Friday & 2 on Saturday with a delivery of personal flowers on Sunday.  Stephanie’s wedding at Grand Tradition Arbor Terrace on Friday.  I did Stephanie’s sister Jessica’s wedding last July.  My daughter Katrina helped me set up this wedding.  After the set up we headed back to the shop and packed up for Ashley’s wedding at Pala Mesa.  Ashley’s centerpieces had live Beta fish in the tall pilsner vases.  Saturday morning started early at the shop getting ready for Kristin’s wedding at Zion Lutheren Church.  Kristin played field hockey with my daughter Trisha.  I love it when I get to do weddings for girls I saw growing up.  After setting up this wedding we packed up for Danielle’s wedding at Ponte.  Danielle is another sister of a former bride.  The last wedding was a delivery of personal flowers (sorry no pictures of this one).

Wedding at The Crossings in Carlsbad

It turned into a very windy and rainy day at The Crossings.  The ceremony was moved inside.  Made it a little harder and cut out about an hour of set up time.  This was just one more opstical for this wedding.  The first one was when I found out that my pink hydrangea was stuck in customs in Florida.  I had to air brush 85 stems of white hydrangea to make it pink.

Lots driving on Friday with a wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado in the morning on the beach.  Then we drove to Temecula in the afternoon with a reception at South Coast Winery after the ceremony at St. Peter’s church in Fallbrook.

Megan’s wedding at Paridise Gardens

Paradise Gardens is in Oceanside in a secluded area with a beautiful waterfall, pond and lots of grass area.  This was a specail wedding for me because I did Megan’s sister Tracy’s wedding a couple of years ago.  At the wedding I got to see Tracy again but this time she looked a little different…must have been that pregnant belly that made her look different…but what a beautiful glowing mother to be.  I saw Megan when she arrived and she seemed very relaxed.  Later as her and her bridesmaids wondered around the venue taking pictures with the photographer I got a glimps of her and she looked stunning.  I just love it when I get to do a sybling’s wedding and I see one of my brides from the past.

The garland on the front of the gazebo had pink gerbera daisies & pink lilies throughout. Megan had bought a lot of pink ribbon and still had some left so I loosley wraped it around the garland. It gave it jus that little extra it needed.
