Last wedding for the weekend of July 9-11 July 19, 2009

I didn’t get any pictures of the 3rd wedding because I was so exhusted.  I slmost passed out becuase of the heat and not drinking enough water.  Jessica’s wedding was here in Fallbrook at a private home.  She had 29 centerpieces that I had to create on site out in the heat.  After we got back to the store all the ladies that were helping me that day unloaded the van and packed it up with the flowers for Wendy’s wedding.  I sat down in the air conditioning at something, drank some water and cooled off.  Then I changed helpers and headed out to Callaway Winery for my last wedding.  Set up for this wedding was much cooler in the barrel room at Callaway.  Wendy had 22 arrangements that had to be created on site.  I was in Wendy’s dressing room looking for her mom when she got my attention and told me she loved her bouquet.  That made my very long and hot day all worth while.  Here are some pictures of her centerpieces and arch.

Whitney’s wedding at The Dana July 19, 2009

What a beautiful day down at Mission Bay.  Everything went up well with only one miss hap.  As we were attaching the garland to the arch we heard a loud thump.  We turned around and one of the large pieces on the stands had fallen.  The ground was kind of uneven and I guess I hadn’t evened out the stand so it fell.  Well it didn’t just kind of fall over it fell out of the container and all over the ground.  Not to panic I just had to put it back together again.  It was just a little different than the other one.  I loved the centerpieces it was my first time doing them.  They were pretty simple but I really liked the look.

Lindsay 1st of 4 wedding weekend July 19, 2009

Lindsay’s wedding was the first of another 4 wedding weekend.  Her wedding was at the Grand Tradition’s Arbor Terrace.  She brought me all of her own vases, containers for the aisle and sheppards hooks for the aisle.  I loved her bright colors.  There were a couple of gliches.  The sheppards hooks that she brought me needed to be put into the ground.  The Arbor Terrace has fake turf so you can’t put anything into it.   Since I live here in Fallbrook I was able to run home and get my free standing hooks and use those instead.  I also received a call from the bakery letting me know that the air conditioning had gone out on their delivery car 1/2 way there and the cake had some issues.  I only saw a couple of things and they were easly covered with at few stratgically placed flowers.
