Our last wedding of the year!!! Falkner Winery Garden venue on Dec. 19th January 5, 2010

It has taken me awhile to get to this with all of the holiday happenings.  This was our last wedding of the year.  We were at Falkner Winery in their garden venue.  It was a beautiful and quite pleasant day for mid December.  Here is just a picture of Melissa’s bouquet and centerpiece.  The bottom part of the centerpiece actually broke apart so that guests could take home the 3 pieces.

Ponte & Arbor Terrace November weddings December 17, 2009

I got to do another beautiful flower garland on Ponte’s arbor.  After the ceremony we took it down and draped it across the head table.

Tall bird of paradise, green orchids, protea and bamboo around the edge of this cake made by Elegance on Display.

Tropical foliage, birds of paradise, haloconia, bells of Ireland & pink alstroemeria complete this arrangement.

Last wedding in November was at the Grand Tradition’s Arbor Terrace.  A very tropical centerpieces and cake decor.

Last big wedding weekend. November 10, 2009

Last weekend was the end of wedding season for me.  I still have a few more weddings but no big weekends.  I’m looking forward to the break.  This gives me a chance to recoup and get up my energy for next season.  I loved both of the bride’s bouquets that I made for Friday’s weddings.

Open House November 1, 2009

Ashley’s at home wedding November 1, 2009

Ashley’s wedding was at her father’s house.  What a beautiful location.  Huge oak trees shaded the ceremony area next to the house.  The reception was down in a rented tent in one of the horse rings.  Talked to her father the other day and he said it was one of the best days of his life.  Everyone had a great time.  Here are some pictures of the flowers.

Erica & Victor’s wedding October 19, 2009

I have been working on this wedding for almost a year now.   A few months ago we ran into a major snag.  Erica & Victor wanted candle light to be a major part of their reception but Ponte had to change their policy on no flames until after the first of the year.  I met with them after we learned this and tried all different ideas until we found one that they liked.  We used lots of battery operated lights but  masked them with either with colored glass or black water beads and crystals.

They also had a vision for the arbor.  I think I achieved it because after the ceremony Victor commented to me that they really liked everything.   Here are the pictures from their wedding.  I wish that the picture of the arbor came out better but hopefully I will get professional pictures when they have them.

Reusing the rose kissing balls from the arbor for the front center of the head table. Along with tons of rose petals and little votives.

For the entrance to Ponte guest were greeted of things to come.

Another extra were dk red tie backs with black feathers for every other chair.

Some extras that we did were the silver chargers with red roses in the napkins.

Centerpieces were wine bottles with black candle-wine stoppers these had red peg votives with battery flickering lights inside. Rose petals around the base with red stain glass votives and stemless wine glasses with a red rose.

Erica just before she walked down the aisle with her bouquet of Freedom and Black Magic roses with red feathers.

The aisle was draped with dk red fabric. Kissing balls of mini carnations were hung from the sides of the chairs.

Bridal Bazaar at Del Mar on Oct. 4th October 6, 2009

Met with a lot of brides on Sunday at the Bridal Bazaar.  I also had an arrangement in the gallery.  Those are always fun because I can do really different things.  Here are some pictures from it.

Lots driving on Friday with a wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado in the morning on the beach.  Then we drove to Temecula in the afternoon with a reception at South Coast Winery after the ceremony at St. Peter’s church in Fallbrook.
